The gallery of the Lithuanian National Commission for UNESCO, a cosy space of 67 m², is located on Sv. Jono street in a very heart of Vilnius Historic Centre, which was inscribed on the World Heritage List in 1994. The gallery is open for various exhibitions, concerts, meetings, cultural events, lectures, commemorations, etc. Since 1998, the National Commission for UNESCO has organised more than 200 exhibitions of Lithuanian and foreign artists.  

Annually the Lithuanian National Commission for UNESCO calls for applications from the artists, cultural centres and organizations inviting them to submit their projects of eventual exhibitions and cultural events for the next year. When selecting the submitted projects the Lithuanian National Commission for UNESCO takes into consideration the thematic of the projects close to the activities and priorities of UNESCO such as cultural diversity, tangible and intangible cultural heritage, cultural dialogue, artistic education, sustainable development, protection of environment, biological diversity, human rights, lifelong learning and education for all, etc. The exceptional artistic or educational projects, the projects commemorating anniversaries of national or world scale, international days are also considered as prioritized.
