The Role of UNESCO in the Education System
Education is a cornerstone of UNESCO’s mission, essential for building peaceful and sustainable societies. The Organization is entrusted with coordinating the implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4) of the United Nations 2030 Agenda. This goal aims to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and to promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.

The network’s members aim to strengthen education for sustainable development, global citizenship, and intercultural understanding. Currently, the network includes 15 schools in Lithuania.
